Hot air balloons and hearts

The other day Bray asked me, " Mom can we go take a hot air balloon and go to heaven to see Jesus." I replied, " Bray Jesus lives in heaven but he also lives in your heart." No response.... I thought later, well, was that the right thing to say, does he really understand that, is Jesus really living in his heart, is heart the right word??.....deep theological ponderings.
Then yesterday my friend Hannah and I were at the lake, when out of the blue Bray asked,
"Mom is Jesus in my heart right now." Sort of dumbfounded and reflective of our last conversation about this matter I looked to Hannah, " What do I say?" She said, " Well I think you ask if he wants Jesus to live in his heart." So I said, " Bray do you want Jesus to live in your heart? " He said, " Yes, I want to live in Jesus' heart." Wow! I like that turn of the phrase even better! So I said Bray you have to tell him that then, in which Bray said " Jesus I want to live in your heart." Speechless and thankful, I praised the Lord for his amazing grace.
Ephesians 2:8 " For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, this is not of yourself it is a gift of God."
Matthew 10: 15 " I tell you the truth, anyone who will not recieve the kingdom of God like a little child, will never enter it."
Pure, true, genuine, confident... the faith of a child. Lord help me to be like a child and to believe with all that I am that you live inside of me and that you truly love me just as I am.
Reflecting back on my last post, I am so thankful for the work of Jesus in Bray's life!

Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus

"Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take him at His word, just to rest upon His promises... oh for grace to trust Him more!" I have had this song in my head for the last couple of days. I love the lyrics. It such a sweet life trusting in Jesus, resting on His promises and how I pray that I would have grace to trust Him more! My biggest prayer is that my sweet boys would know and experience the love of God from young age and would serve Him all the days of their life.. that they would tenaciously work to build God's kingdom here on earth. "Oh for grace to trust Him" while praying this prayer over them at night.

It has been awhile since my last post,so I included several pictures to highlight the last month... first day of preschool for Bray, messy ice cream eating for Will, a senior picture pose for Will in the woods and fall apple picking!
